Dynamic user interface
An advanced AJAX interface ensures that cart prices are updated in real time based upon shipping and billing addresses. Everything happens in the background and the customer does not have to refresh the page to see the results.
Default payment and shipping methods
The extension's admin panel enables you to specify pre-selected payment and/or shipping methods. This is not only a time saver, but in the case of shipping methods, enables you to offer a higher margin option by default.
Multi-store functionality
The extension is compatible with multi-store Magento installs, with each store having its own settings and configuration.
Customisation
The entire look and feel of the Single Step Checkout can be easily changed. The layouts are CSS based. The .phtml layout the defines the structure of the page is also easily modified.
The extension also makes use of CMS blocks to enable you to easy insert content onto your checkout page. These can be purely information, or for example, use a CMS block to up-sell shipping and increase your margin on the order.
Compatibility
The extension utilises all the same logic as the built in Magento checkout, so all your existing shipping and payment methods are already compatible.
The extension plays entirely by the rules and Magento's order processing is unaffected.

We've been impressed by how easy it is to change the look at feel of the checkout page using CSS and how much easier customers are reporting the checkout process to be.
Background
Some of our Magento products, including this one, are encoded with a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system called ioncube. This is used to protect our products from piracy and copyright infringements. This means that some or all of the code in our extensions is hidden and protected from modification.
Licensing per domain
Our extensions are licensed per domain, which means that they will only run on a specific web site.
For extensions that operate purely at the Magento back-end, this typically means you only need to license one domain regardless of stores in your Magento instance. For extensions that provide front-end changes, this typically means that you need a license for each domain name that will use the extension. We provide discounts for customers needing multiple domain licenses.
The license you receive also includes a free development server license so that you can test the extension prior to deploying it on your production server.
Delivery of your extension
Once you place an order we will generate a licensed version of the extension and deliver this to you by email. We do this as quickly as possible, but the process might take up to 2 business days during busy times. We are working to automate this process to provide immediate delivery in the near future.
What if I want to change the code?
We don't protect CSS, XML or .phtml files, so you still have the ability to customise the look and feel, and often some logic. If you have a specific need to customise one of our products beyond this, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

We invest time and effort into building and supported our Magento products. In order to protect this investment we have decided to encode our work.
How do I install ioncube?
Installing ioncube is generally very simple, and may already have been installed by your web host. If it is not, we provide the necessary 'loader files' that can be installed. You can grab the loader files here. We can assist you with the process. All hosting packages from On Tap come with ioncube pre-installed. Please check with your own web hosting company that you can run ioncube prior to purchasing this extension.
